Role Description The Senior Manager Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar, responsible for driving growth and expanding the client portfolio for ECR. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, herbal, and medical device sectors.

The Senior

Manager will prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and commercial bids, collaborate with internal research and operations teams to align offerings with client needs, and oversee contract negotiations. Daily activities include market research, pipeline management, revenue forecasting,



and reporting on business development performance to senior leadership. The role also requires representing ECR at industry events and ensuring a high standard of professional communication and client service.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in business development, client relationship management, and strategic account growth within clinical research or related industries.
- Experience in market research, lead generation, and opportunity assessment for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, or medical devices.
- Strong proposal development, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex research services into explicit commercial offerings.
- Proficiency in planning, forecasting, and pipeline management, including use of CRM or business development tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Prior experience in CROs, clinical research, healthcare consulting, or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Gandhinagar, travel for client meetings and industry events as needed, and operate with high ethical and professional standards.
