Virtual CFO's

Virtual Senior Accountant's

Location: Remote (Based in India) with periodic travel to client sites across Africa

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and results-oriented Virtual CFO's / Senior Accountant's to manage and strengthen the finance and accounting functions of our international clients. The role requires a finance skilled who can work independently from India while partnering closely with management teams in Africa to establish robust financial controls, streamline accounting processes, improve reporting quality, and drive financial planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-Qualified CA with strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A;, ERP systems, and advanced Excel-based financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)

- Lead the entire FP&A; function including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business performance reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models and forecasts.
- Analyze profitability, working capital, cash flow, and key business drivers.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.

Accounting & Financial Control

- Review and strengthen accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Bank Reconciliations
- Fixed Assets
- Inventory Accounting
- Payroll Accounting

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records.
- Drive month-end and year-end closing activities.

MIS & Reporting Excellence

- Design, standardize, and professionalize monthly MIS reporting packages.




- Ensure timely issuance of accurate management reports.
- Develop KPI dashboards and executive-level financial summaries.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and data presentation.

Reconciliation & Cleanup Projects

- Lead financial clean-up and reconciliation assignments.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer balances, vendor accounts, inventory, and inter-company transactions.
- Rectify historical accounting issues and improve financial data integrity.

ERP & Process Automation

- Act as ERP champion and advisor for implementation, optimization, and automation projects.
- Work extensively on ERP's (Odoo,SAP,Microsoft Dynamics,Tally,Zoho Books, QuickBooks,Others
- Improve reporting efficiency and automate accounting workflows.

Client Engagement & Business Partnering

- Collaborate with management teams across multiple countries.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial insights and analysis.
- Conduct periodic visits to client locations in Africa for finance reviews, training, system implementation, and process improvements.
- Train local accounting teams on best practices and financial controls.

Qualification Requirements

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-Qualified CA.
- Pogressive experience in accounting, finance, controllership, audit, or FP&A; roles.




- Experience handling multiple entities or international operations will be preferred.
- Experience working with African businesses is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

- Strong command over Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting.
- Advanced Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities.
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Financial Modelling
- Pivot Tables
- Power Query
- Advanced Formulas
- MIS Automation
- Dashboard Development

Travel Requirements

- Must possess a valid passport.
- Willingness to travel periodically to client locations across Africa for assignments ranging from a few days to several weeks as required.

Employment Type: Full-Time / Consulting (depending on client requirement)
