About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our team at Stattr in Palakkad, Kerala. This is an in office, full-time opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with Python, data, APIs, databases, web scraping, and quantitative modeling to solve real-world problems. Whether you’re an early-career developer looking to build your skills or an experienced developer ready to take on more ownership, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work on building quantitative models, prototyping ideas, developing data pipelines, setting up APIs and databases, and collaborating with our European team.

Position Details

- Location: Palakkad, Kerala (On-Site Only)

- Experience: Junior Data Analyst: 0-2 Years | Senior Data Analyst: 2-5 Years
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science
- Working Days: Tuesday-Saturday
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Compensation: Junior Data Analyst: ₹26,000 per month | Senior Data Analyst: Up to ₹40,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

Qualitative Modelling and Optimization:

- Develop and maintain qualitative models and methods for operational optimization, asset valuation, risk assessment and long term hedging under complex technical and commercial constraints
- Analyze how asset values and performance respond to changes in power, gas, wind and other market drivers

Model Implementation and decision support:

- Set up APIs and databases for model input/output and market data. Perform web scraping to integrate third-party and alternative data sources.
- Develop and maintain reliable analytical workflows and tools using market data, forecasts and asset information.
- Rapidly prototype potential model ideas into functional tools.
- Refactor early-stage or exploratory research code into robust, scalable systems.
- Convert model results into clear practical outputs for portfolio managers and trading teams.
- Adjust models and recommendations as market conditions,



asset constraints and business requirements
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to support analysis and decision-making.

Model Valuation and performance analysis:

- Evaluate model outputs against actual asset and portfolio performance.
- Analyze effectiveness of strategies and identify main drivers of results.
- Investigate deviations between expected and realized outcomes and recommend improvements
- Clean up and structure existing codebases.
- Build and maintain resilient data pipelines.
- Comfortable working with evolving codebases and improving them for production use.
- Collaborate across time zones with the onshore European team.
- Participate in regular team reviews, planning sessions, and brainstorming discussions.

Required Skills

- Strong Python skills, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Familiarity with web scraping tools such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium
- Ability to create effective data visualizations and dashboards.
- Experience with Git, Docker, REST APIs, Basic CI/CD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Experience Expectations Junior Data Analyst (0-2 Years)

- 0-2 years of experience in a development-focused role.
- Strong coding fundamentals and willingness to learn.
- Eager to experiment, learn quickly, and contribute from day one.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to new technologies.

Senior Data Analyst (2-5 Years)





- 2-5 years of experience in a development-focused role.
- Proven ability to design, build, and maintain production-quality solutions.
- Experience taking ownership of technical implementations and delivering independently.
- Comfortable mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical decision-making.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and scalable system design.

Nice to Have

- Master’s Degree.
- Experience with financial modelling building and analysis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as Data Factory, Functions, Blob Storage, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with web APIs.
- Exposure to quantitative modeling workflows.
- Understanding of statistical concepts and their practical applications.
- Experience with Machine Learning algorithms.
