About the Role
FinnishLine is a Finland-registered study-abroad company that helps Indian students enrol in degree and diploma programmes at leading Finnish universities, including Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and HUMAK University of Applied Sciences. Our Mohali office (CP67, Sector 67) is the hub for all our India operations. As an Education Counsellor, you will be the first point of guidance for students planning to study in Finland. You will help them choose the right programme, prepare a solid application, and move confidently from first enquiry to offer letter and residence permit. Success in this role means students feel well guided and supported, leads become completed applications, applicants arrive at university interviews fully prepared, and every student record in our CRM is accurate and up to date. You will work closely with our admissions, B2B partnerships, and operations teams, and your work directly drives FinnishLine’s intake numbers and reputation with our university partners. Responsibilities
• Counsel prospective students through calls, video meetings, and walk-ins on Finnish study options, programme structure, eligibility, fees, and career outcomes, so each student is matched to a suitable programme
• Assess each applicant’s academic background and documents against university entry requirements before an application is submitted
• Guide students through the full application process, including forms, documentation, statements of purpose, and deadlines




• Prepare applicants for university interviews and coordinate interview schedules with the internal team
• Follow up consistently with leads by phone, WhatsApp, and email to keep them engaged and moving to the next stage
• Support admitted students through offer letters, fee payments, residence permit filing, and pre-departure preparation
• Keep all student interactions, documents, and status updates accurate in the company CRM
• Coordinate with partner agencies and internal teams to resolve applicant queries quickly
• Represent FinnishLine at seminars, webinars, education fairs, and campus outreach events
• Meet monthly counselling and conversion targets and share regular progress updates with management Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in education counselling, study-abroad advisory, admissions or a similar student-facing role (freshers with excellent communication skills may also apply)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi
• Ability to explain processes clearly and build trust with students and parents
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with documentation
• Comfortable with calls, WhatsApp, email, MS Office/Google Workspace and CRM tools
• Self-motivated and target-driven, with a student-first attitude
• Knowledge of European or Finnish education systems and visa or residence permit processes is a plus
