Job Summary

To lead design, development, and support of business-critical mainframe applications in our cards and payments platform, keeping high-volume batch and online workloads reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities

- Lead technical design of COBOL, JCL, and DB2 applications
- Build and optimize batch and online processing components
- Analyze and tune existing COBOL and DB2 programs
- Migrate and enhance legacy components without disrupting operations
- Guide project teams on requirements, work breakdown, and coding standards
- Define test scenarios, support defect triage, and handle production incidents with root cause fixes
- Document solution patterns and follow secure coding and audit guidelines

Requirements

- Strong hands-on COBOL, JCL, and DB2 (indexing, query tuning, transaction management)
- Knowledge of cards and payments flows: authorizations, settlements, reconciliation
- Experience in requirement analysis, estimation, testing, and defect resolution
- Comfortable working in a hybrid mode with global teams
