Job Brief

We are looking for a highly structured, process-oriented HR Generalist to join our quick-paced media company [Insert Company Name]. Unlike a standard creative-facing role, this position is focused heavily on HR operations, heavy statutory compliances, process documentation, and Compensation & Perks (C&B;). You will be responsible for building standardized HR workflows from scratch, maintaining strict legal compliance across a diverse media workforce (including permanent employees and creative freelancers), and seamlessly coordinating payroll inputs.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management (Heavy Focus)

• Ensure 100% adherence to all Central and State-level Indian labor laws (e.g., Factories Act/Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act).




• Oversee and audit all statutory filings including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Gratuity, and Qualified Tax (PT).
• Act as a core member or coordinator for the Internal Committee (IC) under the POSH Act, ensuring continuous employee training and legal documentation.
• Manage legal compliance, work orders, and risk mitigation for dynamic project-based media staff, contractors, and production crews.
HR Process Documentation & SOPs

• Design, write, and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire employee lifecycle.
• Build and update the official Company Employee Handbook to align with evolving media business structures and remote/hybrid work policies.
• Create and formalize process maps for onboarding, offboarding, performance appraisals, asset tracking, and disciplinary actions.
Payroll Coordination & Administration

• Consolidate monthly attendance, leave trackers, overtime, and variable production-bas
