This position reports to Assistant Controller and offers the opportunity to enhance technical accounting skills in a rapid-paced, private equity-backed environment.

Shift timing - 5.30PM to 2.30AM

Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance (books are maintained in accordance with US GAAP):

o Prepare and record journal entries for monthly transactions and reconciling adjustments

o Prepare balance sheet reconciliations that are well supported with calculations and sufficient back up to support the account

o Cash transactions and bank reconciliation management
Sage Software Support: Use Sage accounting software to post transactions, run reports, and support account reconciliations and financial data accuracy.
Acquisition Support: Help integrate newly acquired entities by standardizing accounting processes and maintaining accurate financial records during transition.
Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports; help gather and organize data for analysis, assist in data analysis and provide feedback.
Audit Preparation: Help prepare schedules and gather documentation for external audits.




Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of accounting tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
6 to 8 years of accounting experience; construction industry experience is a plus.
Experience using Sage or similar accounting systems is preferred.
Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
Robust Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
Highly organized with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), deliver presentations, valuable listening skills, keep others adequately informed, selects and uses appropriate communication methods.
Identifies problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develop alternative solutions and make appropriate recommendations. Resolves problems in early stages. Works well in group problem solving situations.
