Role Description The Steel Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and marking materials, using hand and power tools for cutting and grinding, fitting and aligning steel parts, and preparing materials for welding and installation. The role also involves checking finished work for accuracy and quality, following safety procedures, and maintaining tools and equipment in positive working condition. Collaboration with supervisors, welders, and other fabrication team members to meet project deadlines is expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.




Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Metalworking skills, including cutting, shaping, and fitting steel components.
Candidates should possess skills in Hand Tools such as measuring tools, chisels, files, and manual cutting equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Grinding and Power Tools, including safe and effective operation of grinders, drills, and cutting machines.
Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation or similar material-handling equipment for moving and positioning steel materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication sketches, and work instructions.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards, use of personal protective equipment, and safe material handling practices.
Previous experience as a steel fabricator, fitter, or in a related metal fabrication role is preferred.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy materials, and to work in industrial environments for extended periods.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements, calculations, and material estimates.
Positive teamwork, communication, and time management skills to support coordinated fabrication activities.
