Role & responsibilities :
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects - cement, steel, MEP materials, finishing materials, etc.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors / suppliers with best price, quality & delivery.
Negotiate contracts, rates, and payment terms to achieve cost optimization.
Prepare purchase orders, track material deliveries, and ensure timely availability at sites.
Coordinate with Project, Planning, Stores, Accounts & Site teams for material requirement planning.
Maintain stock levels, avoid over-purchasing and minimize wastage.
Conduct market research and maintain price database for all construction materials.
Ensure quality compliance and handle vendor billing & reconciliation with Accounts.
Prepare MIS reports on purchases, cost savings, and vendor performance.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 Years of experience as Purchase Manager / Assistant Manager - Purchase in Real Estate / Construction industry is MANDATORY.
Solid knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market rates in Chennai.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP / Tally, and purchase documentation.
Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
Must be based in Chennai and available for immediate joining preferred.
