Job Description:

Position: Purchase Engineer

Location: Vapi

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Requisition Review: Review purchase requisitions, engineering drawings, andtechnical datasheets to ensure complete specifications before floating RFQs (Request for Quotations).
Vendor Management: Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier audits/inspections, and build a reliable vendor database.
Commercial & Price Negotiation: Analyze technical and commercial proposals, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
Order Processing: Convert purchase requisitions into formal purchase orders (POs) via ERP/Tally systems and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Quality & Compliance: Verify that purchased items comply with industry standards (such as ISO 9001, BIS, RoHS, or CE) and coordinate incoming quality inspection (GRN) with QA teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:



Work closely with design, R&D;, production, project management, and finance teams to avoid production delays or stockouts.
Cost Optimization: Drive value engineering / value analysis (VA/VE) and monitor purchase price variance (PPV).

Required Skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specs.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP software (SAP, Oracle, or Tally).
Familiarity with commercial terms and INCOTERMS.
Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and vendor audit protocols.

Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical

Salary :- Upto 5.00 LPA
