Job Overview

As the Assistant Manager - EHS (South Region), you will provide frontline EHS support to Gilbarco Veeder-Root's Field Service and Project Operations across South India. This role requires strong operational and technical safety expertise to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and service activities conducted at retail fuel outlets and commercial fuelling facilities.

The position will partner closely with Service Managers, Field Service Engineers, Project Teams, Contractors, and Customers to strengthen safety culture, improve compliance, manage operational risks, and deliver sustainable EHS performance. A significant focus of the role will be field engagement, contractor management, road safety, incident prevention, and the implementation of company EHS standards throughout the South Region.

Essential
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Workplace, Industrial Safety,



Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of EHS experience supporting field operations, service organizations, construction, petroleum, industrial, or energy sectors.
Experience working with geographically dispersed field teams.
Robust knowledge of:
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification
Incident Investigation
Contractor Management
Permit to Work Systems
Electrical Safety
Road Safety and Journey Management
Emergency Preparedness and Response
Robust communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
Ability to travel extensively throughout South India.
