I need a unicorn.

Ok, not an actual unicorn… something more rare.

Let me explain…

My name is Lance Johnson. I’m the founder of Servant Ventures.

And I need a copywriter, who can do math. (Not like calculus, but WARNING there will be some serious multiplication going on. Annddd FRACTIONS. Will. Happen.) Maybe I should look for a unicorn instead.

I started my career as a copywriter so I’m allowed to joke about copywriters. I currently own a small video studio and smaller real estate development company.

Since I’m obviously addicted to trying new stuff, I’m looking for someone who can help me launch new funnels and iterate on them until we either find something that scales or give up. (Note: you will be paid hourly even in the event the projects bomb).

The basic funnel is: meta lead ads w/lead magnet to get subscribers > 7-day belief sequence where we offer a low-ish price product > regular emails where we can sell ads

We’re going to have to try a bunch of different funnels to get it right

Now the other tricky part… you’re only a good fit for this if you love using AI to write, but HATE slop.

Some of the content (particularly that on alternative investing) is going to come from audio interviews with me (read: we’ll hop on the phone and I’ll blab for awhile). The content workflow is:

interview with an expert > AI ghostwriter > human editor.

We need to create content and copy that keeps our voice and ideas; we just want help with the middle bit.

And lastly, you might not like working with me because I’m a conservative Catholic Christian. You don’t have to be any of those things to work with me (I currently work with some excellent liberal atheists!), but you’ve got to have warm and fuzzies about the stuff we publish so I wanted to be upfront about that.

Lastly, if you’re still reading, apologies for any brain cells you have lost in the process of scouring the interwebs for jobs.

It occurs to me that you may be interested in some of the relevant details of the job:

- $6.25 USD/hr + 2% of revenue
- Flexible schedule, but will need to have a bit of time between 9am and 4:30pm CT for a few calls per week (or as much as daily at the beginning)
- Independent contractor
- Full-time, 40 hours per week

P.S. I probably should have put this first, but you’ve got to be able to push things forward on your own. This will be full-time, but there’s stuff to do everyday. Check ads, come up with new angles, share important memes (although that’s more 24/7). I need to be able to meet with you anywhere from daily to weekly and know you’re getting stuff done, and doing it fast.

P.P.S. If you’re wondering which funnels are on the docket:

1. The Five Talents Club: a newsletter for Christians who are not proud of their portfolio and want to invest their money in alternative assets, like real estate. We would sell courses (pay what you want), a monthly subscription that has shared investment research, and folks would get the opportunity to invest with me in some of my deals.

2. A Little Hope: a newsletter on how regular people who are afraid of losing their jobs to AI or feel like their education isn’t worth anything anymore can respond. Primarily ad supported. I feel like there is a lot of room here to give people some of the good news of the Gospel without them knowing it (for instance, the subjective value of education even if there isn’t an objective need).

3. Never Quit Again. How I went from a serial non-finisher to being able to actually finish stuff (the secret was accountability contracts and coaching). This would likely be a coaching funnel in addition to a newsletter.

4. Other newsletters. Distribution is going to get more valuable as the cost to produce content goes down. Testing is relatively cheap, so I imagine we’d do other iterations of newsletters if these fail.
