A hospital canteen cashier manages food and beverage sales, processes cash, cards, and UPI payments, balances the cash drawer at shift close, and provides polite service to staff, patients, and visitors in a rapid-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities

- Sales & Billing: Take food orders accurately, generate bills, and process cash, debit/credit cards, and UPI/digital payments.
- Cash Management: Maintain opening and closing float amounts, count till drawers, and submit daily sales and cash collection reports to the accounts department.
- Customer Service: Greet hospital staff, doctors, patients' families, and visitors, and answer questions about menu items and daily specials. [1, 2]
- Hygiene & Counter Upkeep: Keep the billing counter, POS terminal, and display area clean, tidy, and organized. [1, 2]
- Coordination: Communicate smoothly with the canteen kitchen and service staff regarding stock-outs, special dietary requests, or bulk staff meal orders. [1, 2]
