HEAD CASHIER (GOA BASED ONLY)

YUMA GOA | SIOLIM, NORTH GOA

Yuma is an Amazonian, Latin American and Peruvian-inspired riverfront restaurant and nightlife destination coming to Siolim, Goa.

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier with prior restaurant or hospitality experience to handle billing, payments and daily cash transactions while ensuring accuracy and smooth service during busy restaurant and nightlife hours.

THE ROLE

- Handle customer billing and payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system.
- Process cash, credit/debit cards, UPI and other accepted payment methods.
- Generate bills, receipts and invoices and ensure correct order totals.
- Reconcile cash, card and digital payment transactions at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate records of daily collections and report discrepancies immediately.
- Coordinate with service staff, the bar team and management to resolve billing issues.
- Handle discounts, complimentary items, voids and refunds only with appropriate authorisation.
- Maintain and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Prepare daily sales summaries and handover reports.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the POS system.
- Handle guest billing queries politely and professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Keep the cashier station organised and ensure billing operations run smoothly during peak hours.
- Follow company procedures for cash security and payment reconciliation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR





- Previous experience as a cashier in a restaurant, bar, hotel or other hospitality establishment.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS and billing systems.
- Comfortable handling cash, card payments, UPI transactions and daily reconciliations.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Honest, organised and dependable, with a strong sense of accountability.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to guest interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Willingness to work evening shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Goa-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Siolim preferred.
