Job Overview

Responsible for basic purchasing of Corporate (indirect) materials and services at the best cost to MDR using procurement processes that maintain consistency with schedule requirements. Perform procurement management including - strategic sourcing, source IT Services (software & hardware), Facility management, category management, supplier relationship management, contract performance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

- Execution of End to End PO Cycle for IT Service / equipment procurement as single point contact
- Management System will be preferrable
- Exposure contractual agreements, negotiating commercial terms and service level agreements covering various spend categories
- Develop relationships with suppliers
- Having knowledge of Terms and Conditions of Purchase and apply these T&C;’s
- Selection of potential suppliers, preparation and obtaining approval of bidder’s lists
- Preparation of inquiries and obtaining of quotations
- Prepare and discuss commercial minutes of meetings with suppliers
- Reviewing the technical evaluation with the concerned technical expert / User
- Negotiations with potential suppliers
- Organize and lead meetings with (potential) suppliers
- Prepare commercial bid tabulations and obtain approval
- Place and administer purchase orders and purchase order supplements
- Maintain knowledge of the international market
- Ability to assess, prepare and execute Software category strategy to drive cost out/Process Improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Robust critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Co-ordinate with finance to facilitate supplier’s payment

- Renewal (All MSA/ Software/ Licenses)

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education

- Graduate in any discipline with Procurement experience
- Certification in Procurement would be an advantage but is not mandatory
- Should have minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in IT procurement (IT Services, Software Licenses, & Subcontracting, IT Hardware)
- Good knowledge of procurement function / processes
- Working knowledge of Procurement system, preferably Oracle and JDE
- Should have good interpersonal/persuasion skills to bring about consensus between different teams
- Preference would be given to a person who has prior experience in dealing with major Service Providers like Microsoft, Hexagon, Aveva, Microsoft, Dell etc.
- Prior experience in PO Placement in ERP Platform like Oracle, SAP, JDE, Document
