We are developing a non-formal, experiential learning curriculum for young people aged 15–24, designed to connect learning with the everyday realities of wards, communities and local governance.

About the role
We are looking for Curriculum Development Consultants to help build this curriculum. You will bring your subject expertise into the learning process, translate complex ideas into engaging, accessible content and ground learning in the realities of grassroots communities in India. We welcome applications across the following areas:
• Civic Engagement, Governance and Rights
• Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action
• Digital Literacy and Technology
• Financial Literacy
• Legal Literacy
• Youth and Community Leadership
• Social Innovation
• Communication What you will do
• Develop content for your area of expertise in line with WTCM’s non-formal, experiential learning approach.
• Break down complex concepts into explicit, engaging content for learners aged 15–24.
• Design activities, assignments and assessments that build understanding, critical thinking and practical application.
• Contextualise relevant content with examples,



data and case studies.
• Align your content with the overall curriculum framework and with fieldwork that learners can realistically carry out in their wards.
• Respond to feedback and revise content through review rounds with the WTCM team. Who can apply Researchers, academics, public administration professionals, environmental practitioners, finance and legal professionals, social workers, social entrepreneurs, MEL specialists, digital trainers, instructional designers and other experienced professionals. Both working and retired professionals are welcome. What we are looking for
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the areas above.
• Ability to write clearly and simply for young learners, with a learner-friendly, participatory approach.
• Understanding of the pan-Indian context, including local governance and grassroots realities.
• Comfort with working independently and remotely, and sharing drafts for feedback.
• Experience with CSOs, NGOs, CBOs or grassroots initiatives, especially in non-formal and experiential learning, is an added advantage. Engagement details

• Consultancy engagement until 20 November 2026, with scope for extension and continued association as WTCM grows.
• Remuneration and engagement terms will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.
