Job Description
• Accounting
• Maintain accurate books of accounts relating to factory operations.
• Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments and journal transactions.
• Perform monthly account closing activities.
• Prepare factory-level income and expenditure statements.
• Ensure proper accounting of capital and revenue expenditure.
• Review accounting entries and identify errors or unusual transactions.
• Inventory & Stores Accounting
• Monitor accounting of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
• Reconcile physical inventory with book records.
• Review material receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.
• Coordinate with Stores and Production for periodic physical stock verification.
• Investigate and report stock shortages, excesses and discrepancies.
• Monitor slow-moving, obsolete and non-moving inventory.
• Ensure proper accounting of inventory adjustments and write-offs.
• Production & Cost Accounting
• Monitor production-related c Skills Required The Factory Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the manufacturing unit, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, proper control over factory expenses, inventory accounting, statutory compliance , audit and timely financial reporting.
