Role Description The Owner role at N S Gokhale & Co is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Owner will oversee overall firm strategy, client relationship management, and business development initiatives, ensuring service quality and sustainable growth. Daily responsibilities include supervising key client engagements, guiding practice areas, reviewing financial and operational performance, and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. The role involves mentoring partners and team members, driving process improvements, and representing the firm in professional and industry forums.



The Owner will collaborate closely with leadership and support teams to maintain a high-performance, ethical, and client-focused culture.
Qualifications
Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent, with substantial post-qualification experience in public accounting or professional services.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including experience mentoring teams and guiding partners or senior managers.
Strong business development and client relationship skills, with the ability to attract, retain, and grow key client accounts.
Solid understanding of audit, taxation, assurance, and advisory services, along with familiarity with relevant accounting and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability in strategic planning, operational oversight, and financial management of a professional services firm or similar organization.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on integrity and skilled ethics.
Comfort working in office in Mumbai and coordinating with teams across Thane, Pune, Goa, and Bengaluru.
Prior experience in a partnership or ownership role in a Chartered Accountancy firm is highly beneficial.
