Role Description This is a full-time Optometrist role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of in office clinical work and some work-from-home responsibilities as appropriate. On a day-to-day basis, the Optometrist will conduct eye examinations, assess visual acuity, prescribe corrective lenses, and identify common ocular conditions. The role includes advising patients on lens options, eye health, and preventive care, as well as collaborating with optical staff to ensure accurate dispensing of spectacles and contact lenses. The Optometrist will maintain detailed patient records, follow clinical protocols, and support follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment.



The position may also involve participating in patient education initiatives and contributing to improvements in clinic workflows and service quality.

Qualifications
Valid Optometry degree (Bachelor or Diploma in Optometry) from a recognized institution and current eligibility to practice in India.
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive eye exams, including refraction, slit-lamp examination, and basic diagnostic tests.
Solid knowledge of common refractive errors, basic ocular pathology, and when to refer patients for advanced medical care.
Explicit, respectful communication skills for explaining diagnoses, prescriptions, and eyewear options to patients of diverse backgrounds.
Comfort working in a hybrid setting, with the ability to manage clinical responsibilities on-site in Mumbai and administrative or consultative tasks remotely.
Attention to detail in record-keeping, prescription accuracy, and adherence to clinical and ethical standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with opticians, support staff, and management to maintain a smooth and patient-centered practice.
Prior experience in a retail optical or clinical eye care setting is an advantage, but motivated early-career professionals are also encouraged to apply.
