Role Description The Department Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Siliguri, responsible for overseeing daily operations of an assigned department within the store. This includes planning staff schedules, supervising sales associates, and ensuring that customer service standards are consistently met. The role involves monitoring stock levels, coordinating with inventory teams, and maintaining proper product display and visual merchandising. The Department Manager tracks sales performance, implements promotional activities, and reports key metrics to store leadership. This position also handles basic administrative tasks,



supports training and development of the department team, and ensures adherence to company policies, safety, and store hygiene standards.
Qualifications
Experience in retail or store operations, including supervising teams and managing daily floor activities.
Solid customer service mindset with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a positive shopping experience.
Basic knowledge of inventory handling, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising practices.
Ability to analyze sales trends, monitor targets, and support implementation of promotions to drive department performance.
Explicit communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to coordinate effectively with staff and management.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle scheduling, task delegation, and follow-up on operational priorities.
Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced retail workplace in Siliguri, with flexibility for weekends and peak seasons.
Prior experience in a supervisory role in retail or hospitality preferred; a diploma or degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
