Role Description This full time, on-site Tandoor Chef role is based in Delhi, India and involves preparing and cooking a variety of tandoor dishes such as breads, kebabs, and marinated meats according to standardized recipes and quality guidelines. The Tandoor Chef will manage the tandoor oven, including temperature control, fuel usage, and safe handling of equipment, while ensuring food is cooked to the correct texture and flavor. Daily tasks include prepping ingredients, marinating items, maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards, coordinating with other kitchen staff, and supporting timely service during peak hours.



The role also involves monitoring inventory for tandoor-related items, minimizing food wastage, and following food safety regulations. The Tandoor Chef is expected to contribute to menu improvement, uphold presentation standards, and assist in training junior kitchen staff when needed.
Qualifications
Solid experience in tandoor cooking, including breads, kebabs, and traditional North Indian dishes.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation procedures.
Ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations and work efficiently during peak service times.
Strong knife skills, ingredient preparation techniques, and understanding of marination processes.
Capability to operate and maintain tandoor ovens and related kitchen equipment safely.
Positive communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a diverse kitchen team.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
Prior experience as a Tandoor Chef or Commis in a skilled kitchen; formal culinary training is an advantage.
