Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop recent vendors and suppliers for raw materials, sheet metal, machine components, and other manufacturing requirements.
Source vendors based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Maintain and update the vendor database and approved vendor list.
Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Quality, and Stores departments to understand material requirements.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and timely delivery.
Conduct vendor visits and assessments to verify manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.
Follow up with suppliers for pending orders and ensure timely material delivery.
Develop alternative vendors to reduce dependency on a single supplier.
Maintain vendor-related documents, quotations,



purchase records, and evaluation reports.
Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, pricing, and delivery delays.

Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate in any stream; a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience: 2–5 years in vendor development, procurement, or purchase, preferably in a manufacturing company.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and MS Excel.
Preferred Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing materials, sheet metal components, machining, and industrial suppliers.
