Job Description – PFT Technician

Department: Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a relevant allied health field

Key Responsibilities
Perform pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and pre- and post-bronchodilator testing.
Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures to ensure proper understanding and cooperation.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain pulmonary function testing equipment.
Ensure accurate test performance and follow established quality control procedures.
Assess test quality and repeat procedures when necessary, according to clinical protocols.
Monitor patients during testing and report any adverse symptoms to the supervising clinician.
Maintain accurate patient records, test reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
Follow infection control,



equipment disinfection, and patient safety protocols.
Coordinate with pulmonologists, nurses, and other healthcare specialists to ensure productive patient care.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, departmental protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Required Skills
Knowledge of pulmonary function testing procedures and respiratory physiology.
Good patient-handling and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot PFT equipment.
Robust attention to detail and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
