Department: Stores & Material Control

Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Purpose

To manage receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and dispatch while ensuring accurate stock records, traceability, and uninterrupted production support.

Key Responsibilities
Receive raw materials, bought-out components, tooling, and consumables against purchase orders.
Verify quantities, identification, and documents; coordinate incoming inspection with Quality.
Prepare GRNs and update ERP/Excel stock records promptly.
Issue materials against approved requirements and maintain issue records.
Monitor stock, minimum/reorder levels, and shortages.
Maintain storage, identification, lot traceability, FIFO, and material preservation.
Control of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, tooling, and consumables.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and PPC.




Conduct physical inventory and investigate stock discrepancies.
Maintain material issue slips, stock reports, and inventory records.
Control scrap, rejected, excess, and obsolete inventory with authorization.
Support packing, dispatch documentation, and finished goods handover.
Maintain protected handling, cleanliness, and 5S.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or relevant engineering discipline.

Experience: 2–5 years in manufacturing stores, inventory management, and material control.

Key Skills: Inventory control, ERP/Excel, GRN, FIFO, stock reconciliation, traceability, production coordination.
