Job Title: NPD Engineer (New Product Development)

Experience: 5–10 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Responsibilities
Lead new product development activities from concept stage to production launch.
Study customer requirements, technical specifications and engineering drawings.
Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models and product designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo or other relevant CAD software.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase and Tool Room departments.
Develop prototypes and conduct product trials to validate design and functionality.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications and product documentation.
Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding technical requirements and design changes.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost analysis for new products.
Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other quality documentation wherever applicable.
Identify design improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time product development and production launch.




Troubleshoot technical issues during prototype development and initial production.
Implement engineering changes and maintain drawing revision control.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable quality standards.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Experience in new product development and product industrialisation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software.
Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering tolerances and material selection.
Understanding of CNC machining, fabrication, tooling or assembly processes, as relevant to the product.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and 8D problem-solving is preferred.
Positive project management, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Salary & Benefits
Expected salary: ₹35,000–₹45,000 per month.
Salary negotiable based on technical expertise and previous experience.
Extra benefits as per company policy.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
