Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering: Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, power distribution layouts (low and medium voltage), grounding plans, and cable schedules.
Power System Studies: Perform and analyze electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protective relay coordination, and harmonic analysis.
Instrumentation & Controls: Specify and configure industrial control panels, PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and field instrumentation (24V DC to 600V/medium AC).
Procurement & Vendor Management: Prepare technical specifications and data sheets, evaluate vendor bids, review equipment submittals, and liaise with suppliers.
Project & Contractor Oversight: Manage electrical contractors, track site progress against project schedules and budgets, and coordinate installation activities. The engineer will have to coordinate with the consultant and client for obtaining final approval and coordinate the site works.
Testing & Commissioning: Oversee pre-commissioning checks, loop checks, insulation testing, start-up support, and hand-over of "as-built" documentation.




Mentorship & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes (e.g., IEEE, IEC, local statutory norms) while coaching junior team members.

Required Skills

Experience: 10 to 15 years in Industrial Projects.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of power flow, wiring, and voltage.

Software Skills: Expert use of CAD , REVIT MEP & execution through BIM.

Problem Solving: Ability to fix design flaws and answer questions during building.

Communication: Transparent speaking and writing skills to explain plans to workers.

Licensing: Valid Skilled Engineer (PE) license or local certification where required.

Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other specialized electrical design tools.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of local building codes, National Electrical Code in Oman, and safety standards.
