Safety Officer – Key Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure implementation of workplace safety policies, procedures, and EHS standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections of plant, machinery, equipment, and work areas.
Identify workplace hazards and assess risks; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure proper use of PPE by employees and contract workers.
Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
Monitor compliance with applicable factory safety rules and statutory requirements.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and root-cause analysis.
Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor secure working practices for work at height, hot work, electrical work, and confined spaces.
Verify work permits and safety precautions for high-risk activities.
Inspect fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency exits, and firefighting systems.




Conduct emergency mock drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Monitor machine guarding, electrical safety, lifting tools, cranes, and material-handling equipment.
Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, incident registers, and EHS MIS.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and contractors to resolve safety issues.
Monitor contractor safety compliance and ensure workers receive appropriate safety training.
Promote 5S, housekeeping, and protected material storage practices.
Report reliable safety violations and incidents to management.
Support internal, external, and statutory safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
