We are seeking an experienced and "boots-on-the-ground" Construction Foreman to lead our site labor and trade crews in Jaipur . You will be the bridge between the Site Engineers and the workforce, ensuring that daily tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and exactly as per instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Coordination : Organize and supervise daily work schedules for skilled and unskilled laborers, masons, and subcontractors.
- On-Site Execution : Direct the practical aspects of the construction process—reinforcement, shuttering, brickwork, and finishing—ensuring they meet technical drawings.
- Safety Leadership : Act as the primary safety officer on the ground. Ensure every worker follows safety rules and that the site remains hazard-free.
- Resource Management : Monitor the usage of materials and tools on-site to minimize wastage and prevent theft or misuse.
- Problem Solving : Identify and resolve immediate site-level issues, such as equipment breakdowns or labor shortages, to keep the project moving.
- Quality Monitoring : Conduct preliminary checks on work quality before the Site Engineer's final inspection.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience : Minimum 6 years of experience in on-site construction supervision.
- Education : Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI (Civil). Significant field experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Technical Skills :
- Deep understanding of construction sequences and manual labor techniques.
- Ability to read basic site drawings and layouts.
- Robust command of local labor management and the Jaipur regional dialect for effective communication.
- Attributes : Strong leadership presence, "lead-by-example" attitude, and the ability to handle tough conversations with labor crews.
