Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is one of the major diversified environmental services companies in North America, offering solid waste management, liquid waste management, and soil remediation. Through a strategically located network of facilities across Canada and the United States, the company is dedicated to providing a skilled team of employees to local service to more than 4 million households under municipal contracts and to more than 135,000 industrial, commercial, and institutional customers. REQUIREMENTS :

- 7+ years of experience as a Java developer, specializing in Spring Boot within Agile environments.
- Knowledge of Kotlin and a solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively and work well with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

NICE TO HAVE

- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work with a team of developers to design and implement software solutions in Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin,



ensuring alignment with best practices and coding standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs that meet business needs.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement performance optimizations to ensure robust, maintainable solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
