Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (IV) – Premium Senior Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and ABAP CDS.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications. The role involves working across the software development lifecycle, developing scalable solutions, building user-friendly interfaces, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements, business use cases, and technical challenges to deliver user-focused solutions.

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using relevant technologies and frameworks.

Evaluate technical requirements and recommend suitable technology stacks, integration approaches, and deployment strategies.

Design and implement software architecture, components, and application interfaces.

Develop and maintain SAP-based applications using ABAP, ABAP CDS,



SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP UI5.

Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Define and implement software testing strategies and quality standards.

Optimize application performance and improve development efficiency.

Follow modern development practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

Ensure adherence to security practices to protect application and user data.

Develop interactive and user-friendly application interfaces.

Support backend development, including APIs, integrations, and application services.

Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve software solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Good knowledge of ABAP CDS Views.

Experience in SAP Fiori.

Solid understanding of SAP UI5.

Strong software development and coding practices.

Experience & Education

Total Experience: 10+ years in IT.

Development Experience: 8+ years in software development.

Practical experience in two programming languages or advanced practical experience in one programming language.

Ability to guide and mentor team members.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Good to Have

Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

Experience with ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) checks.

Additional Details

Contractual employment.

Hybrid work arrangement with 4 days working from the Chennai office.

Candidates should be comfortable working from the Chennai location.
