Technical Project Manager – ERP Implementations

Description

We are seeking a seasoned ERP delivery professional to lead end-to-end ERP implementation and transformation projects from discovery through production go-live and hypercare. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role requires strong customer-facing delivery experience, hands-on project management across all ERP lifecycle phases, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including functional consultants, developers, QA, DevOps, integration engineers and customer stakeholders.

Working Shift: Must be open to UK and US customer overlap based on project requirements. UK Shift: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Mandatory Screening Criteria

Do not submit general IT Project Managers without relevant ERP implementation experience.
Minimum 7+ years of overall IT/ERP project delivery experience; 8+ years preferred.
Hands-on project management experience in ERP implementation and delivery with at least one successful production ERP go-live.
Experience across multiple ERP lifecycle phases: discovery, requirements, fit-gap, configuration/development, integration, data migration, SIT/UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and support.
Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle ERP, Odoo, ERPNext, or comparable enterprise systems.
Proven experience managing functional consultants, developers, QA, DevOps, integration teams, and customer stakeholders.
Strong direct customer-facing experience and excellent written and spoken English communication skills.




Willingness to work onsite from Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad and flexibility to work with UK/US customer overlap.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end ERP implementation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Plan and manage project scope, schedule, effort/budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalations.
Coordinate discovery, requirements gathering, fit-gap workshops, and solution design with customers and functional teams.
Manage configuration, customization, development, integration, and data migration activities.
Oversee testing phases including SIT and UAT, validate acceptance criteria, and manage remediation activities.
Develop and execute cutover plans, lead production go-live and provide hypercare support post go-live.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps and integration teams to ensure stable deployments and CI/CD where applicable.
Provide regular status reporting and stakeholder communication; act as primary escalation point for delivery risks and issues.
Manage third-party vendors and coordinate international stakeholders when required.
Ensure delivery documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to operations and support teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of IT/ERP project delivery experience; 8+ years preferred.
Demonstrated hands-on experience leading ERP implementations on one or more major ERP platforms (SAP,



Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle ERP, Odoo, ERPNext, etc.).
Proven track record of at least one successful production ERP go-live.
Strong experience in scope, schedule, effort/budget, resource, risk, issue, dependency, change-request, and escalation management.
Excellent written and verbal English communication and strong direct customer-facing skills.
Willingness and ability to work onsite in Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad and to overlap with UK/US customer timezones.
Preferred: Odoo implementation experience, international customer-facing experience (USA/Europe/Middle East), valid US B1/B2 visa, previous international onsite travel experience.
Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Protected, ITIL, or ERP vendor certifications.
Domain experience desirable: manufacturing, distribution, retail, supply chain, accounting, CRM or other ERP-intensive industries.
