Sr. Group Lead - GIS / Mapping Operations

Job Level: L2 - B3
Location: Hyderabad, India

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Group Lead - GIS/Mapping Operations to lead large-scale operations and drive service delivery, customer experience, people management, and process excellence. The role requires strong leadership experience within the GIS/Mapping domain and the ability to manage Managers, Team Leaders, and a large analyst workforce.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the program and team to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Manage daily operations for a large team of 250+ analysts.
- Provide functional support and direction to Managers and Team Leaders.
- Monitor performance of line Managers and provide regular coaching and guidance.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- Drive customer experience while optimizing operational costs.
- Contribute to short- and long-term strategic business goals.
- Focus on talent retention and employee satisfaction.
- Identify training requirements and support capability development.
- Coordinate with internal support functions and key stakeholders.
- Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure process-level compliance with applicable quality and operational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

- Full-time Graduate.
- 12+ years of overall work experience preferred.
- 4-8+ years of Operations Management experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in the Mapping domain.
- Minimum 18 months of GIS (Geographical Information System) domain experience.
- Robust exposure to GIS / Mapping operations.




- Experience managing large-scale operations and teams.
- Strong knowledge of workforce management, quality tools, and operational processes.
- Strong analytical, logical, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer-service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts / a 24x7 environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP / Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with process compliance standards such as COPC and related quality frameworks.
- Experience leading large GIS/Mapping delivery programs.

Mandatory Skills: Geographic Information Systems(Maps) .
