Position: PT / Physical Education Teacher

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct Physical Education and sports activities for students.
- Organize regular PT periods, exercises, drills, warm-ups, and fitness activities .
- Train students in various indoor and outdoor sports and games.
- Develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, stamina, flexibility, and motor skills.
- Identify students with potential in specific sports and provide appropriate training.
- Organize and conduct school-level sports competitions, tournaments, and athletic events .
- Prepare students for inter-school and other sports competitions.
- Maintain proper records of students’ participation and performance in sports activities.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe handling of sports equipment and facilities.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a healthy competitive spirit.
- Ensure student safety during sports activities and follow appropriate safety procedures.
- Encourage students to participate in regular physical activity and develop healthy lifestyle habits.
- Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day, athletic meets,



and other school events .
- Coordinate with teachers and school management for sports-related activities.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to students based on their individual abilities and interests.
- Participate in school assemblies, events, and co-curricular activities as required.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent qualification. :

- M.P.Ed. will be an added advantage. :

- Prior experience as a PT/Sports Teacher in a school will be preferred.

- Good knowledge of multiple sports and physical fitness activities.

- Strong communication and student-handling skills.

- Good knowledge of basic sports safety and first-aid practices.

- Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
