Job Summary : The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards are maintained across all hospital areas, including patient rooms, OTs, ICUs, OPDs, public areas, and administrative sections. The role ensures compliance with hospital infection control policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Coordinate with Nursing, Maintenance, Infection Control, and Administration departments.
- Supervise and allocate daily duties to housekeeping staff.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of team members.
- Provide on-the-job training to housekeeping staff.
- Maintain duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Ensure proper cleaning of patient rooms, wards, OTs, ICUs, corridors, washrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Monitor biomedical waste segregation and disposal as per hospital policy.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Raise indent for required supplies on time.
- Ensure proper usage and storage of cleaning materials.




- Maintain records of consumables.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH guidelines (if applicable), and safety standards.
- Maintain housekeeping checklists and records.
- Address patient and staff complaints related to cleanliness promptly.

Qualifications :

- Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.
- Diploma in Housekeeping / Facility Management (preferred).
- Knowledge of hospital cleaning protocols and infection control practices.

Experience :

- 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospital.
- At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills Required :

- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of hospital hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Positive communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (for reporting and documentation).
- Problem-solving and coordination skills.
