Job Title: Software Sourcing

Experience: 8 to 12 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

- Support the Global Sourcing Category Lead in developing and executing the Software category strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.

- Manage software sourcing activities, including new deals, contract renewals, and category-wide efficiency initiatives.

- Lead RFPs, competitive bidding, commercial evaluations, and complex contract negotiations.

- Develop sourcing strategies to optimize costs, manage commercial risks, and deliver business value.

- Engage with senior internal stakeholders and external software vendors to drive sourcing decisions and agreements.

- Prepare and present deal summaries, commercial recommendations, and sourcing proposals.

- Manage deal pipelines and ensure timely execution of sourcing projects.

- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive supplier management initiatives.

- Provide commercial advisory support to business stakeholders on software procurement and contractual matters.

- Work with cross-functional and global teams to deliver sourcing objectives and performance targets.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities, renegotiate existing contracts, and maximize value from incumbent suppliers.

- Support business continuity planning and operational risk management activities.

Requisites





- Degree-level qualification or equivalent; CIPS or other professional Sourcing / Procurement certification is desirable.

- Robust experience in Software Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management within a large or multinational organization.

- Proven expertise in leading commercial sourcing activities, contract negotiations, RFPs, and renewals.

- Experience in developing category strategies, analyzing spend portfolios, identifying opportunities, and delivering cost savings.

- Knowledge of global enterprise software suppliers, software pricing models, licensing, and contracting mechanisms.

- Strong understanding of commercial levers, contractual terms, and legal clauses related to software agreements.

- Experience in supplier evaluation, market analysis, competitive bidding, and vendor management.

- Ability to manage regional and global sourcing agreements involving multiple stakeholders.

- Banking or financial services industry experience would be an advantage.

- Experience working with cross-regional and global teams is preferred.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver projects within deadlines.
