Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate production-grade AI services, full-stack web applications, and distributed data systems for a manufacturing execution platform. The role spans AI engineering, backend and frontend development, and regulated system architecture in a life-sciences context.

Design and deploy production AI services including retrieval-augmented generation and anomaly detection workflows

Own retrieval architecture, embedding selection, vector storage, and LLM application patterns with evaluation and observability

Deliver full-stack applications with React frontends and backend services, securing with OAuth 2.0 and RBAC

Lead distributed, multi-tenant system design and end-to-end data modeling with GxP compliance by design

Partner with manufacturing, quality,



and automation teams to translate process requirements into technical solutions

Production-grade AI and GenAI system design, including RAG, embeddings, and agentic workflows

Full-stack development: React/TypeScript, Python (FastAPI) or Java (Spring Boot), REST/GraphQL APIs

Advanced relational database expertise: SQL, PostgreSQL, transaction design, migration tooling

System and data architecture: distributed systems, Domain-Driven Design, event-driven patterns, Kafka

Regulated software compliance knowledge: AWS cloud infrastructure: RDS/Aurora, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC; CI/CD and testing disciplines: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, automated testing across stack
