JoVE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Review Manager to lead and optimize the review process for the JoVE Journal. The Assistant Review Manager will oversee review operations, manage a team of editors, and drive continuous improvements in workflow, reviewer engagement, and author experience.

Manage and mentor a team of Review Editors, fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture.

Provide training, feedback, and performance tracking to ensure team success and publication growth.

Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., Work closely with Editorial,



Production, and Content teams to ensure a seamless publication process.

Explore and implement AI and automation tools to enhance review efficiency and quality.

5+ years of experience in academic/scientific publishing, with deep expertise in review workflows.

- Proven experience managing review teams and meeting publishing deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with manuscript management systems (Editorial Manager preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex scientific feedback.
