Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer- I : FinOps

Sumo Logic's FinOps team makes every dollar of cloud and AI spend visible, attributable and optimizable. That means building, running and improving the tooling behind our cost decisions, from cost data pipelines and dashboards to unit-economics and allocation reporting. Build, maintain and improve FinOps tooling, including cost data pipelines, telemetry jobs, dashboards and reports across all Sumo Logic deployments.
Implement and evolve unit-economics and cost-allocation reporting so cloud and AI spend maps accurately to the teams and products that drive it.
Support and improve our cost regression program and tooling, detecting and investigating cost increases and helping teams resolve them.
Support cross-team cost-saving initiatives, partnering with engineering teams to identify, implement and measure savings, and contribute to the cost optimization roadmap.
Support commitment tracking (CSP, RI, EDP) with accurate coverage and utilization data.
Run FinOps tooling and cost data pipelines like production services, with monitoring, alerting, data-quality checks and runbooks.
Automate manual cost reporting and analysis work.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Finance or related field (Ph.Comfortable with cost and unit-economics concepts (allocation, amortization, cost per unit), with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,



with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Track record of taking ownership and influencing results, working across internal and external organizations, including engineering, finance and marketing
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
3+ years of professional experience in data or software engineering roles

- 1+ years of experience with cloud financial management or FinOps framework
- Demonstrative ability to build and operate data pipelines with complex sources
- Strong coding and debugging skills (Scala experience highly beneficial)
