Job SummaryWe are looking for an Embedded Linux & Hardware Integration Engineer with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in Linux systems, embedded software development, and hardware integration. The candidate will be responsible for integrating hardware peripherals with Linux-based systems for cloud-based data acquisition applications.Role and Responsibilitiesto learn and manage recent Linux hardware integration to a cloud-based data acquisition system.Experience looking at performance/usage metrics in Linux. Understand when processes may be getting constrained by memory, disk IO speeds, CPU or temperature.Experience with low level Hardware to Linux integration including sending commands over UART, USB or other serial com ports.Identify and define the required settings and configurations for hardware peripheral support within Linux-based systems.Develop, test, and integrate new peripherals, such as modems and other devices, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.Conduct comprehensive analyses to determine the actual hardware requirements for our systems.Identify opportunities for optimizing hardware resources to enhance system performance, reliability,



and cost-efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align hardware requirements with system goals and product specifications.Research and evaluate new hardware vendors, products, and technologies to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.Skill sets (Must Have):Linux systems knowledge.Hardware configurations and peripheral integration.Embedded C & C++.Low level Hardware to Linux integration including sending commands over UART, USB or other serial com portsNew hardware vendors, products, and technologies evaluation and qualification skills.Must have Electronics & Hardware Knowledge.Must have Linux cross compilation Knowledge.Familiarity with hardware testing tools, such as an oscilloscope or multi-meterExcellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with product development processes and ability to contribute to Hardware product roadmaps.Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in hardware technologyEducation & General experienceMinimum required: BE or B.
