Job Description

Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust invites applications from experienced, compassionate and responsible female professionals for the position of Resident Manager / Matron at Devi Home, an upcoming residential home for women under the aegis of Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration, day-to-day operations, resident welfare, staff supervision and maintenance of a safe, hygienic, dignified and supportive living environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day administration and overall functioning of the residential home.
- Ensure the safety, security, dignity and physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being of residents.
- Supervise housekeeping, food services, maintenance and other residential facilities.
- Co-ordinate healthcare services, medical appointments, counselling and emergency care.
- Supervise and guide residential care staff and support personnel, prepare duty rosters and monitor staff performance.
- Maintain resident records, admission and discharge registers, medical records, attendance records, incident reports and other administrative documentation.
- Monitor expenditure, inventory, supplies and the effective utilisation of resources.




- Address residents’ concerns and grievances with empathy, patience and confidentiality.
- Co-ordinate with hospitals, counsellors, government departments, NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safeguarding standards and organisational policies.
- Organise and encourage recreational, social and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Handle emergencies, complaints, inspections and critical incidents promptly and responsibly.

Eligibility Criteria

- Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Gerontology, Healthcare Administration or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the administration or management of residential care facilities, geriatric care, counselling or social work.
- Gender Preference: Female.

- Proficiency in MS Office and administrative documentation.
- Willingness to work in a full-time residential setting and respond to emergencies when required.
