Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, reconciling stock with accounts, and ensuring proper control over inventory movement and valuation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day inventory accounting and stock records :
- Reconcile physical stock with system records regularly
- Record purchase entries, GRNs, and stock transfers accurately
- Monitor inward and outward stock movement
- Prepare inventory valuation and stock aging reports
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for stock verification
- Identify and report discrepancies in stock and accounts
- Manage vendor bills related to inventory purchases
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance
- Work on inventory modules in accounting/ERP software
- Support month-end and year-end inventory closing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in inventory accounting / stock accounting
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime/ERP :
- Good knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
