About One Janitorial

One Janitorial is a commercial cleaning company operating across Canada with active US expansion. We manage roughly 700 clients and 180+ alliance partners through a 36-person fully remote team. We're scaling toward $11-12M in revenue in 2027.

We are aggressively AI-first. We've already built:

- A custom internal AI chatbot for our team's SOPs and processes
- AI agents that read HubSpot tickets, summarize them, and move them through pipelines
- A real-time HubSpot → Supabase sync pipeline
- Automated daily AI coaching reports for every department
- N8N workflows running on our own DigitalOcean server

Our CEO has built most of this himself using Claude Code — without a formal dev background. We need someone who's better than him at code, but ships at the same speed.

The Role

You build and manage AI agents and automations for One Janitorial. You ship working tools in days, not weeks. You use Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor as your primary tool — not as a crutch, but as your way of getting things done fast while you supervise the code.

You report directly to the CEO. Our existing developer Ralph handles our Google Workspace automations — you won't touch those.

What You'll Actually Do1. Manage and improve our AI agents

We have AI agents that handle HubSpot tickets — reading them, summarizing them, deciding what pipeline stage they belong in, and updating them automatically. You will:

- Keep these agents running and reliable
- Improve their accuracy when they make mistakes
- Build current agents as the business needs them (sales follow-up, alliance check-ins, customer service triage, and more)

2. Manage and improve our HubSpot setup





HubSpot is our CRM backbone. You will:

- Maintain our HubSpot → Supabase sync
- Build new HubSpot workflows and automations as the business needs them
- Manage the API integrations that power our daily AI reports
- Fix things when they break

3. Build new AI workflows

We have dozens of repetitive tasks that should be AI-driven. You will:

- Listen when managers describe their work and spot what could be automated
- Bring the CEO ideas weekly: "I noticed Sales does X every day. I can automate it in 2 days. Want me to? "
- Ship the simplest thing that works, then improve it

4. Maintain our internal AI chatbot

Our team uses an internal AI chatbot (built on Next.js + Supabase) to ask questions about our SOPs and processes. You will:

- Keep it running
- Improve answer quality when it gets things wrong
- Add new capabilities as the business grows

Who You Are Background (non-negotiable)

- 3-5 years of professional software development experience :

- You've built and shipped at least 2 production web apps end-to-end

- You're comfortable in :Node.js, Python, TypeScript, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, webhooks :

- You've built or maintained at least one AI workflow (RAG pipeline, agent system, LLM-powered tool, or similar)

- At least 12 months of daily use of Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor in real work

- Professional written and spoken English

Skills (non-negotiable)





- You ship fast. A HubSpot integration should take you 2-3 days, not 2 weeks
- You use AI tools as a force multiplier — you read every diff, catch bugs, know when the AI is hallucinating
- You polish your work — add error handling, retries, logging without being asked
- You're proactive — you bring ideas, you don't wait for tickets
- You don't over-engineer — simplest thing that works first

Personality (non-negotiable)

- Pragmatic — "ship working" beats "perfect architecture"
- Low ego on code — you don't care if AI wrote it, you care if it ships
- Direct communicator — you push back when something is a bad idea
- Curious about the business — you ask "what does this enable? "

What This Job Is Not

- Not an AI research role. No papers, no novel architectures, no PhDs
- Not a data science role. We don't train models. We use them
- Not a code-from-scratch role. You build with AI as your primary tool
- Not a slow company. We ship every week

- Location : Fully remote. Reliable backup power and backup internet required within 30 days

- Hours : Monday-Friday with minimum 3 hours of overlap with 8 AM - 5 PM Mountain Time (Canada) :
