Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for M.Sc. MLT students.
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Hematology & Blood Banking
- Clinical Microbiology
- Immunology & Serology
- Histopathology & Cytology
- Molecular Diagnostics
- Laboratory Management & Quality Control
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and e-learning materials.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus.

2. Laboratory Training & Supervision

- Supervise postgraduate practicals in diagnostic laboratories.

- Train students in advanced lab instruments such as:

- Auto Analyzers

- ELISA Readers

- PCR & Molecular Platforms

- Flow Cytometers

- Ensure biosafety, biomedical waste management, and NABL protocols.

3. Research & Dissertation Guidance

- Guide M.Sc. dissertations and research projects.
- Encourage publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Support funded research, grants, and conferences.

4. Curriculum Development

- Contribute to syllabus design and revision as per industry/NABL standards.
- Introduce emerging areas like molecular diagnostics and automation.




- Support accreditation (NAAC/NABL/UGC) documentation.

5. Assessment & Examination

- Conduct theory, practical, and viva examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain academic records.
- Prepare question banks and internal assessment tools.

6. Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities

- Participate in departmental and academic committees.
- Assist in admissions, counseling, and student mentoring.
- Organize workshops, CMEs, lab demonstrations, and industrial visits.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification :

- M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology / Medical Lab Sciences / Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Specialization in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Hematology preferred.
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline (preferred).

Experience

- Minimum 2-5 years teaching or diagnostic laboratory experience for Assistant Professor.
- Experience in NABL accredited labs/hospitals preferred.

Required Skills :

- Expertise in diagnostic laboratory techniques.
- Hands-on experience with automated and molecular lab equipment.
- Knowledge of quality assurance & lab accreditation standards.
- Teaching, mentoring, and research supervision skills.
- Good documentation and IT skills.

Certifications (preferred)

- NABL / Quality Management Training
- Biosafety Certification
- Molecular Diagnostics Training
