Job Title: Purchase Executive

Department: Procurement / Purchase Location: Murbad, Near Kalyan, Maharashtra Reports To: Purchase Manager / Factory Head

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, components, and services required for chair manufacturing. This includes materials like wood, metal frames, foam, fabric, plastic parts, hardware fittings, and packaging materials. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials such as wood, plywood, metal parts, foam, upholstery fabric, plastic components, screws, and fittings
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for manufacturing materials
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) as per production requirements
- Coordinate with production, design, and store departments for material planning
- Monitor stock levels to ensure no production downtime
- Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers for timely dispatch
- Ensure quality standards are met for all incoming materials
- Maintain vendor database,



purchase records, and pricing history
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options
- Handle local and outstation procurement (if required)
- Ensure compliance with GST, invoices, and documentation processes

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of furniture/chair manufacturing materials
- Understanding of supply chain and inventory management
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (Tally/SAP or similar)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Attention to detail and cost-conscious approach

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in furniture / chair / manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience in handling multiple vendors and bulk procurement

Salary Range

- ₹15,000 - ₹30,000
- Performance-based increments and incentives may be applicable

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
