Job Description - Bakery & Pastry Chef

Position : Bakery & Pastry Chef Employment Type : Full-time Location : Mumbai Experience : 3-6 years

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and produce a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and bakery products .
- Handle daily bakery and pastry production as per the outlet's requirements.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, portioning, and presentation .
- Develop and execute new bakery and pastry recipes.
- Maintain proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Minimise wastage and maintain effective cost control.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.
- Train and guide junior team members and ensure proper work practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery/pastry section.
- Follow standard recipes, production schedules, and company SOPs.





Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of bakery and pastry techniques .
- Experience with cakes, breads, viennoiserie, desserts, and plated/modern pastries.
- Good understanding of ingredients, measurements, baking temperatures, and techniques.
- Strong creativity and presentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.
- Good teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualification

- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Bakery & Confectionery, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, cafés, or premium hospitality establishments preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
