Role Description The Procurement Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune. The individual will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including identifying requirements, sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and preparing purchase orders in line with company policies and budgets. The role involves negotiating prices and terms, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services for marine operations.



The Procurement Executive will monitor vendor performance, support cost optimization initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks also include managing inventory levels, resolving discrepancies with suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and purchase management, with hands-on experience in preparing and handling purchase orders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate quotations, compare supplier offers, manage costs, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders, and to manage negotiations professionally.
- Experience in marine, logistics, or industrial procurement is an advantage, with familiarity in sourcing technical and operational supplies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in documentation and vendor follow-ups.
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic ERP or procurement software; comfort with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Commitment to ethical procurement practices, cost efficiency, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
