Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording entries in ledgers, maintaining books of accounts, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flows, and ensuring timely processing of receipts, payments, and member account updates. The role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements,



as well as supporting audits by preparing schedules and documentation. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial reports and insights that support decision-making and operational efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Prayagraj.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ability to ensure regulatory compliance, support audits, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Robust analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/ICWA intermediate) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a cooperative society, banking, or financial services environment is preferred.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
