Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Group Lead – Master Data Management (MDM) to manage employee master data operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP HCM and Employee Central (EC), strong reconciliation and MIS reporting skills, proven Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capabilities, and knowledge of Indian labour laws. The role involves leading a team of 15 members, maintaining data accuracy, ensuring compliance with governance and audit requirements, and driving continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and review employee Master Data Management (MDM) transaction processing activities across multiple locations.

- Oversee end-to-end employee master data operations and ensure timely and accurate processing.

- Handle employee master data creation, updates, changes, and maintenance in SAP HCM and Employee Central (EC).

- Perform and review reconciliations to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies.

- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify recurring data issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Prepare, publish, and review MIS reports, dashboards, and operational performance reports.

- Maintain data quality, integrity, consistency, and adherence to established data governance frameworks.

- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, and applicable Indian labour laws.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15 members distributed across multiple locations.





- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve data-related issues and support business requirements.

- Monitor team performance, transaction accuracy, productivity, and turnaround times.

- Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

- Support audits, process reviews, and documentation of standard operating procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 10–12 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management, HR operations, or employee data management.

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM and Employee Central (EC) is mandatory.

- Proven Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capability is mandatory.

- Hands-on experience in reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and MIS reporting.

- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Indian labour laws are mandatory.

- Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and employee master data controls.

- Knowledge of SOX compliance and audit requirements.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other MS Office applications.

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

- Proven team leadership and people management experience, including managing teams across multiple locations.

- Robust analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP HCM certification.

- SAP SuccessFactors / Employee Central certification.

- Exposure to data governance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
