German Payroll Processing

Job Summary

We are looking for a German Payroll Processing professional with experience in payroll operations, payroll systems, and HRIS platforms. The ideal candidate should be fluent in German and have a strong understanding of German tax laws, social security regulations, collective agreements, wage types, and statutory benefits.

Key Responsibilities

- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees according to the client's pay calendar and payroll schedule.

- Review and validate timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, and employee changes.

- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.

- Process and review end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

- Maintain payroll records in compliance with applicable statutory requirements and country-specific regulations.

- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

- Coordinate with HR teams regarding new hires, terminations, benefits, and employee information updates.

- Collect, calculate, and enter payroll data accurately while maintaining employee records.





- Handle HR-related queries and maintain a high level of confidentiality when managing sensitive employee information.

- Meet payroll deadlines in a demanding, time-sensitive environment.

Mandatory Requirements

- 3–8 years of overall relevant experience in payroll processing or related operations.

- 2–4 years of experience with payroll systems, payroll processing, and/or HRIS platforms.

- Fluency in German is mandatory.

- Good understanding of German tax laws and social security regulations.

- Knowledge of German collective agreements ( Tarifverträge ), wage types, and statutory benefits.

- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Deel, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a demanding environment.

- Solid written and verbal communication skills.

- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Good to Have

- Multicountry payroll exposure, including the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, or other countries.
