1. Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for engineering materials.
2. Purchase raw materials such as MS, EN8, EN19, SS, pipes, rods, seals, fasteners and other engineering components.
3. Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
4. Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs).
5. Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
6. Coordinate with the production, stores and accounts departments for material requirements.
7. Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
8. Maintain purchase records, supplier databases and procurement documentation.
9. Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
10. Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality and technical specifications.
11. Handle supplier-related issues, shortages, delays and material rejections.
12. Verify supplier invoices and coordinate with the accounts department for payment processing.

- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and material specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of ERP / Inventory Management software will be an advantage.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple purchase requirements.
- Preferred Candidate Profile2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement in a manufacturing or engineering company.
- Experience in purchasing mechanical and hydraulic components will be preferred.
- Should be systematic, responsible and cost-conscious.
- Should have good coordination skills with suppliers and internal departments.
